You are a piece of meat. You aren’t strategically draped for modesty.
Doctors and nurses don’t care about your “private bits”. They position you and maneuver you in the most efficient way for the surgery you are getting.
For example, my friend who had hip replacement was surprised to learn she was pretty much sprawled wide. When she asked about it, her doctor is the one who said, “you’re a piece of meat at that point and I need you in the best position to do my job”.
If a body is covered at all, it’s for sterility purposes and not modesty.
