Can a girl deliver baby 3 times in 4 months ? Definitely NO right !!! Yes,its a new type of corruption act carried out in the villages of our country.

The Janani Suraksha Yojna was introduced in 2005 for the benefit of poor pregnant women. The aim of the scheme was to encourage institutional delivery and to help women in the after pregnancy stage. But the truth is,its encouraging only corruption.

In Utter Pradesh, A woman, for instance, was declared pregnant three times in four months to avail benefits under the scheme. Another woman who had not became pregnant in 12 years was paid Rs 1,400 as honorarium by the health department. Yet another woman in Bahraich, a 60-year-old, got pregnant "five times in 10 months".

A lobby is actually running this mechanism. The Primary Health Centre officials pick a village lady whom they have some contact with and declare "She delivered a baby" and grant her 1400rs. This 1400rs then goes back to the pocket of the officials after giving a small share to the so called pregnant lady.

When Asha Devi,a village lady claimed benefits accorded to pregnant women three times in a span of four months, officials at the bank where she came to deposit the cheques grew suspicious and informed the health department. An inquiry was conducted and many more such instances tumbled out.

The case of Rajeshwari Devi of Barahi village of Samrer block was equally shocking. Given the Rs 1,400 honorarium after she claimed to have delivered a baby on August 24, 2011, it emerged later that the last time she had delivered a child was 12 years ago.

"It is really unfortunate that a scheme meant to safeguard a new born baby and mother in villages is being misused and corrupted to such extremes. An investigation has began in UTTER PRADESH to get more information while we insist to get this viral so that officials must look into villages in other states too......
