Did you know that if you have a pacemaker, you can include it in your Will to be donated to a dog in need after you pass away?

Did you know that if you have a pacemaker, you can include it in your Will to be donated to a dog in need after you pass away? Although pacemakers cannot be used for another human, they can help dogs with heart problems and potentially save their lives. You can arrange for the pacemaker to be sent to a vet of your choice. Many pacemakers are simply thrown away, and dogs may die because people do not know about this option. Donating the pacemaker can even save the dog's owner the cost of a new one, which can sometimes make a crucial difference in affording life-saving treatment.   Credit goes to respective owner ✅

Alexandre Cabanel was 24-years-old when he painted L’Ange Dechu (The Fallen Angel) in 1847 as an academic oil on canvas painting. It is currently stored at the Musée Fabre in France. The Fallen Angel is perhaps one of the most popular works of art ever created. Behind flexed arms, a winged nude hides his face. His brows arch over red-rimmed eyes and a tear of rage as his mane of hair breaks in the wind. Of course, his physique is flawless. Although his posture seems relaxed, each muscle is tensed and ready to fire. This is the last moment before he is cast out of paradise. An angel who has fallen from grace and has been banished by God. Cabanel’s inspiration for this work was John Milton’ epic poem, Paradise Lost (1667) and fallen angels: Moloch, Belial, Mulciber, Mammon and Beelzebub. The last of whom is Beelzebub, better known today as Lucifer.

THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE

By JENN ADAMS THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE is ostensibly a story about death. André Øvredal’s terrifying film follows Austin (Emile Hirsch) and Tommy (Brian Cox), a father-son team of coroners tasked with examining a body found partially buried beneath a brutal crime scene. They dub the anonymous woman Jane Doe (Olwen Catherine Kelly) and lay her naked corpse on their examining table for the invasive procedure. As they cut into her flesh, they discover that Jane Doe is much more than a cadaver.  She is a centuries-old witch created by viscous torture who has been lying dormant in the earth since her execution during the Salem Witch Trials. With each layer Tommy and Austin peel away from her bones, they awaken her powers. Rather than discover and report her tragic story, they inadvertently awaken a powerful witch hellbent on reclaiming her own autonomy.  Tommy and Austin are dedicated coroners who take pride in their objectivity. After decades of experience uncovering the secrets of...

Pearly Queen and Pearly Prince, London, 1926-1927. Cockney 'Pearly kings' (originally costermongers - fruit and vegetable sellers), wore suits covered in mother-of-pearl buttons. In 1926-1927, the Pearly Queen and Pearly Prince in London were part of the distinctive Cockney tradition of the Pearly Kings and Queens. Originating from costermongers (fruit and vegetable sellers), these community figures wore elaborate suits adorned with hundreds of mother-of-pearl buttons. This unique tradition began in the late 19th century, when Henry Croft, an orphan street sweeper, started decorating his clothes with pearl buttons to draw attention while raising money for charity. The Pearly Kings and Queens quickly became a symbol of charitable work and community spirit in London's East End, with each borough having its own Pearly King and Queen. Their outfits, painstakingly sewn with intricate patterns of pearl buttons, became a visual representation of Cockney pride and philanthropy, sho...
