Battle of Balikpapan (1945) The  Battle of Balikpapan  was the concluding stage of Operation Oboe, the campaign to liberate Japanese-held British and Dutch Borneo. The landings took place on 1 July 1945. The Australian 7th Division, composed of the 18th, 21st and 25th Infantry Brigades, with a small number of Netherlands East Indies KNIL troops, made an amphibious landing, codenamed  Operation Oboe Two , a few miles north of Balikpapan. A scientific study conducted in 2013 proved that this method worked.  It was revealed that proteins such as Brevinin 1Tb synthesized from the skins of frogs (and other amphibians) restricted the life of some bacteria.  Thus, the Russians and Finns discovered, albeit through trial and error, that they could fight bacteria by adding proteins produced from the skins of frogs to their milk.

WHAT A SAD NEWS  😭 😭😭😭😭 The Effurun POLICE STATION, Wado City, Delta State found four h3ads in a student's bag last night around 11pm. A young man, about  30 years, with a large handbag, got into a KEKE NAPEP lastnight. The vigilant driver smelled a strong odor coming from the youngster's bag. The horrible smell made the driver to suspect something. When the driver arrived at Effurun POLICE STATION area , he set off the alarm, held the young guy and alerted  the police to search the young man's bag. Many people were afraid.  One of the Police was shocked when he opened the young man's bag and found four heads in the young man's bag. After examination of the heads, it was found that the heads were well known. Alexandre Cabanel was 24-years-old when he painted L’Ange Dechu (The Fallen Angel) in 1847 as an academic oil on canvas painting. It is currently stored at the Musée Fabre in France. The Fallen Angel is perhaps one of the most popular works of art ever created. Behind flexed arms, a winged nude hides his face. His brows arch over red-rimmed eyes and a tear of rage as his mane of hair breaks in the wind. Of course, his physique is flawless. Although his posture seems relaxed, each muscle is tensed and ready to fire. This is the last moment before he is cast out of paradise. An angel who has fallen from grace and has been banished by God. Cabanel’s inspiration for this work was John Milton’ epic poem, Paradise Lost (1667) and fallen angels: Moloch, Belial, Mulciber, Mammon and Beelzebub. The last of whom is Beelzebub, better known today as Lucifer.

Harry Allen - hangman Period on Home Office List - 1941-1964. Harry Bernard Allen was born on the 5th of November 1911 at 50 Braithwell Street, Denaby in Yorkshire, but brought up in Ashton under Lyne in Lancashire.  He was educated at St Anne's Roman Catholic School in Burlington Street, in that town.  His first job was in the Transport Department at Park Bridge Iron Works, before he became a bus driver with Ashton Corporation, a job he continued to hold after he became an assistant hangman in 1941.  Harry Allen's first wife was Marjorie Clayton whom he married in 1933 and divorced in 1962.  The couple had a son, Brian and a daughter, Christine.  In early 1963 he met Doris Dyke, a single woman, whom he married in October 1963.  Doris helped Harry at the Woodman Inn in Middletown.
